Updates All Around

You have probably noticed some changes to my blog.  :)  I decided to not only change the colors, but add some new things as well.  There are links to more information about the GAP Program, the community in which I will serve in Dublin, as well as some other things I find worthy of sharing.  Feel free to browse around and check out all the updates.  :)  *Thanks to Sarah Cravens for her inspiration.  She's a fellow "Gapper" from Ann Arbor who has just begun her adventurous GAP year in Costa Rica.  Feel free to check out her blog if you'd like!  http://sarahcravens.blogspot.com/

As for my fundraising...I'm still plugging along, collecting cans and bottles, and praying that God will get me to my goal of $11,000 before I leave in about 2 and a half weeks.  Right now I have about 80%, so around $8,700.  Only about $2,300 left!  One thing that is pretty reassuring to me is that I do not have to have all of the money before I leave.  I can still receive donations while I am in Ireland.  I just really would like to have it all squared away before I leave so I don't have to worry about it while I'm there.

I am doing another can and bottle drive on Saturday morning, so please pray for a good turnout.  As I mentioned in previous posts, my subdivision has been so supportive in giving me their cans and bottles!  I have also had great support from my friends in collecting and returning the cans/bottles.  As of right now I've already received over $150 in cans, bottles, and donations (if the house doesn't have any cans or bottles).  Come, Lord, open people's hearts and doors on Saturday morning!
